The "Giuseppe Della Gatta" AICAT Award was awarded to Professor Stefana Milioto, full professor of Chemistry-Physics at the University of Palermo, during the XLV National Congress of Calorimetry, Thermal Analysis and Applied Thermodynamics, which took place in Caserta from 9 to 11 December 2024.
The recognition, awarded by the AICAT Board to scientists who have stood out in the field of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis, from this edition is dedicated to the memory of Professor Giuseppe Della Gatta, founder of AICAT and GICAT, of which he held the positions of President and Coordinator, respectively, in different moments.

Following the award ceremony, Professor Milioto held a plenary lecture entitled The Key Role of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis for Large Interfaces Systems Studies by which she highlighted how calorimetry and thermal analysis are strategic tools in the fields of nanotechnology, supramolecular chemistry and environmental chemistry.
