Competition for this award is open to Italian Researchers, not older than 35 years on the announcement expiry date, who work in the field of Calorimetry or Thermal Analysis. Applications, complete with curriculum vitae, scientific certificates and list of publications must be sent by Return Registered Mail to the:

The award will be presented to the winner on the occasion of the next congress (AICAT 2012), which will be held in Rome (Italy) June 5-8 2012.

The winner will be hosted by AICAT during the Meeting dates.

AICAT- SETARAM Award

The 2012 Aicat-Setaram Award recipient is Professor Manuel A. V. Ribeiro da SIlva.

Professor  Ribeiro da SIlva

has been selected as the 2010 Aicat-Setaram Award winner for his outstanding contributions to advance the physico-chemical knowledge in experimental and computational thermochemistry. The Award will be presented at the 34 th National Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis in Rome where Professor Ribeiro da Silva will give the Award Lecture on Tuesday 5th, 2012.

The Aicat-Setaram Award was established in 2006 as an initiative of AICAT with the financial support of SETARAM, France. It is offered to a scientist in recognition of outstanding scientific achievements in the field of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry. The Award recipients are selected by the Scientific Committee of AICAT.

The previous recipients of the AICAT-SETARAM Award were Prof. Peter Privalov (2006), Prof. Jacques E. Desnoyers (2007), Prof. Jean-Pierre Grolier (2008), Prof. Alberto Schiraldi (2009), Prof. Christoph Schick (2010) and Prof. Attilio Cesàro (2011).
